The Ancient Hags Of Môn.

by Sion Bebb
(Anglesey)

Long ago on ancient Anglesey, there lived three hags of terrible power over the Celtic tribes.

Their names were; Srorm Wenwallt, Jin Crochan Coch and Roga Hen Froga.

All three possesed individual powers to lead their tribes and druids.

The Eldest posessed powers to sway the weather and therfore helped the growth of agriculture on Anglesey (Ynys Môn).

The Middle sister was a great prophet who's prophecies led the celts and druids to victory.

The Third sister possesed great strength in battle and in combat, her name is sometimes related to the Queen of the Icceti- Buddug.

The most well known tale of the Three is that of Rhyfel Bodafon.

Tell me more...

It would be great if the writer could expand on his story of these characters from Anglesey.

They remind me of those figures from Wagner's Ring.
