Prince Charles Visits RAF Valley on Anglesey

by Jo

Prince Charles dropped in to RAF Valley on Anglesey recently to meet with the families of servicemen and women serving overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The prince also saw the new Hawk fighter training jet and spoke with a number of the flight personnel at the island base.

He spoke with flight instructor Squadron Leader Andy Pilliner of 203 Squadron, who will be training Prince William as a search and rescue helicopter pilot later this year, if he successfully completes his initial training at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire.
