Mobile Phones Tips from Anglesey

Here are a few tips which I hope you will find useful:

1) Security : if you loose your phone you should phone your network provider and the Police. The Police will need you phone's IME number , they can block the handset and thus render it useless. To get the IME press *#06#

2) Low Battery :How many times have you found your battery running low? Give your phone a boost from its internal battery by pressing *3370# - make sure you charge it up as soon as possible.

3)Emergency:If there is no network coverage and you need to contact the emergency services dial 112 instead of 999. Any radio station will connect you.

Anglesey Coastal Path Mobile Phone Coverage
by: Walter

These are helpful tips.

We often come over to Anglesey to enjoy the coastal views and walk the Anglesey Coastal Path. One problem seems to be the variable coverage from our mobile phone operator.

For example, if you are walking along Rhoscolyn coastline the coverage is great, but near Holyhead Breakwater it is almost none existent.

Perhaps someone could walk the around the whole island and map the mobile phone coverage, showing the so-called black-spots.

After all, if there was an emergency it would not help if you happened to be in a location on the coastal path where there was no signal - pretty obvious I suppose:)
