Golden Sands, Aberffraw Beach Experience

Aberffraw Beach

Miles of golden sand to enjoy.

Thanks Christine for posting this photo.

I agree with you, Aberffraw beach is amazing. Whenever we have visited, there is something different to experience.

Of course it will depend to some extent on the direction of the wind and its strength. It is more spectacular if you have let's say a fresh breeze, say Force 4 on Beaufort, from the south west.

This is when we see those magnificent white horses approaching the shore and rising up towards the marram grass at the top.

It's so pleasant and a great place to unwind as you walk towards the east with the mountains and Lleyn peninsula in the distance.

And when you return, crossing the sands in a north-westerly direction, you get a great view of the coast up towards Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay as well as Holyhead Mountain in the distance.

You are lucky to live nearby. Feel free to share more photos and write about your reflections.

Many thanks
David
