ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting will be held in the Centre at 7pm, Tuesday 26th June. We look forward to seeing as many people as possible and would be delighted to have some new members join the committee. The work is not difficult or time consuming but we do need new members to be able to continue to provide a valuable service to the local community.

At the monthly committee meeting on Tuesday, 20 March, it was confirmed that the work on the Lower Hall floor and the rear car park had now been completed.

Both were much improved, especially the Lower Hall, which is now much more attractive.

The Centre, which is housed in the old Beaumaris Grammar School, is there for the use of the community and provides a reasonably priced venue for a range of activities.

It is used by local art groups, bridge clubs, the Christadelphian Church, adult education classes, the local Film Club, among others.

The David Hughes Community Centre can be hired for family occassions, social events and meetings. The rooms vary in size and facilties include a fitted kitchen next to the Lower Hall.

The Centre is a registered charity and the management is carried out by a small committee. We are always looking for new members to carry on the work, which is not onerous or time consuming.
