In this clip you can see boats and yachts of different design and length moored in the stretch between Gallows Point and Beaumaris Pier.
The tidal currents can be strong along here as the water flows up and down the Menai Straits.

Gallows Point is the site of some controversy as an application for planning permission to build a marina, lodged by ABC Boat Company, faces objections and appeals to the Welsh Assembly. Local fishermen have taken their case to the High Court and it seems as if the project will never take off.
One concern is the potential impact of the development on the natural habitat and oyster beds along this stretch of the Menai Straits.
Beaumaris RNLI Station is based near the pier and boat trips around Puffin Island and other parts of Anglesey leave from this Pier.
The town has a long and rich history as you will discover in other video clips.
