The 2007 Beaumaris Festival will run from Tuesday, May 22nd to Monday, May 28th (please note that the starting date is a little earlier than in previous years.).
As usual there will be a varied programme of concerts, talks and recitals, including one given by the internationally acclaimed pianist, Llyr Williams.
Sir Roy Strong, whose varied career has included the directorships of the V & A Museum and the National Portrait Gallery, together with a passion for gardening, will give a talk.
There will be a most welcome return of the mandolin duo, Simon Mayor and Hilary James.
This time they play as part of a mandolin quartet, the Mandolinquents, with further musical treats and off-beat humour.
The Welsh National Poet, Gwyn Thomas, will give a bi-lingual presentation of some of his work, while other speakers include English Language expert, David Crystal, and Medwyn Williams of Chelsea fame.
The Poetry Trio makes a welcome return with a programme of poetry on the subject of painting and painters, while Young Artists feature in a strong recital programme.

A recital will be given on the newly-restored organ of the parish church by Carol Williams, who divides her time between being city organist of San Diego and visiting her mother on Anglesey.
Her programme ranges from the music of Bach to that of Scott Joplin. Variety continues with the orchestral concert which will include a specially commissioned concerto for percussion which will also feature a dancer.
The art exhibition this year will focus on the unusual and humorous 3D and sketchbook work by local artist, David Jones. The Festival will finish with a Bank Holiday Jazz evening given by the James Evans Incredible String Four.
