Bangor Rotary Club Annual Country Fayre

Bangor Rotary Club held its 22nd Annual Country Fayre at Rhos Farm Pentraeth on the 3rd August 2008.

The day was a fabulous success where even the weather was uncharacteristically, for this summer, beautiful.

A day for all the family with numerous events including Tractor Rides, Companion Dog Show, Punch and Judy and entertainment supplied by Samba Bangor and the Ynys Môn Dog Agility Team.

The All Anglesey Wheat Sheaf Tossing competition was a popular success.

The day was completed by the traditional drive through of the numerous vintage cars and tractors that have become a feature of the event over the past few years.

This event could not take place without the support of Arthur and Glyn Owen, the owners of Rhos Farm and the dedicated support from all those visitors that attend the event.

Bangor Rotary Club would like to thank them all for helping make the event so successful.

Bangor Rotary Club invite local Charities to provide stalls, free of charge, and the Charities keep any profit that they make.

This year was our most successful Country Fayre making a total of just under £11000 for Charity.

Next year's event is planned for Sunday 2nd August 2009. If you run a local Charity and would like to have a stall at next year's Country Fayre contact Bob Maskall on 01407 730967 or email: bobmaskall(at)uwclub(dot)net
